If you ever watch Attack on Titan and feel hungry, there might be something wrong with you, or you may be a Titan. One restaurant in Osaka has decided to collaborate the internationally popular franchise and host a speciality cafe. The buffet-style restaurant chain Sweets Paradise will soon be partnering with the second season of Attack on Titan for unique anime cafe and menu.
The special collaboration features fans' favorite Attack On Titan characters like they have never been seen before, as sailors. For an additional 650 yen (about $6) on top of the normal buffet price, fans can take part in the celebration and choose one special item from the food and sweets menu and one special item from the drink menu. The collaboration food menu includes a list of Attack on Titan items, such as seafood omurice with famous lines from the series and a doughnut with a Colossal Titan lurking inside. Check out the gallery below to see all of the special menu items and gifts.
In addition to the items mentioned above, there will be a set of monaka sweets, which will feature 11 anime characters in their sailor uniforms for 1,080 yen (about $10). There will also be a special "challenge menu" item which will feature a 6-pound bowl of Black Castle Ruins Curry, which is inspired by the Utgard Castle from the show. If a bold fan wanted to take the challenge of the massive bowl of curry, they must order it a day in advance, and it will come with a set of 11 coasters for 3,900 yen (around $35).
For each item ordered from the special collaboration menu, guests will receive an exclusive paper mat. For each item ordered from the new drink menu, guests will receive one of 11 exclusive coasters. But that is not all, cafe locations participating in the collaboration will also be selling a new exclusive A4-size file for 378 yen (around $3), four different types of key holders for 756 yen (around $7), 11 varieties of "trading super-deformed acrylic key holders" for 702 yen (about $6), and 11 varieties of "trading super-deformed tin badges" for 378 yen (about $3). The file and regular key holders will be available to buy on Friday, soon followed by the collectible key holders at the end of June, and the tin badges at the beginning on July. Pictures of all the new exclusive items can be seen in the gallery below.
The cafe will debut in Sweets Paradise's Shinsaibashi location in Osaka starting on Friday and running until July 31. The special Attack on Titan cafe will also run in the Ikebukuro location in Tokyo from July 22 to September 3, as well as in the Parco store location in Nagoya from August 5 to September 18.
