In a handful of weeks, anime fans will finally get to see the next installment of Attack on Titan. Hajime Isayama’s thrilling franchise became an international sensation when Wit Studio adapted it into an anime a few years back. However, due to several delays, the anime’s second season is only now reaching fans. April will see the anime return to the delight of millions. And, now, a brand-new illustration from season two has been released thanks to Newtype Magazine.

In the publication’s most recent issue, fans were treated to a special feature about Attack on Titan‘s new season. Both the director and chief director for the anime took time to talk about season two, but many fans have been more interested in looking at the interview’s background. The lengthy piece was partially printed on a new illustration from Attack on Titan.

So, yes – that means there is more Levi for you to look at now.

In the simple illustration, fans can see three core characters from Attack on Titan in the foreground of a scenery shot. To the front, Captain Levi is shown with his head tilted to the side. The Captain can be seen mirroring Mikasa as both characters have their swords drawn, and both stoic leads are shown looking off into the distance.

However, the most dramatic pose award must go to Eren. The franchise’s protagonist is drawn in his Titan form, and fans are certain Eren’s hair has never looked so luscious before. It can be seen flowing in the wind whilst Eren sits with an elbow propped up against his massive knee. Even the hero’s Titan form manages to make its toothy grin look less monstrous against the setting sun.

The synopsis for Attack on Titan‘s second season can be read below:

“Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity’s freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!”

If you are not familiar with Attack on Titan, then you should know the popular anime is renowned for its intense action and gritty storylines. The anime follows a boy named Eren Yeager in an alternate world overrun by massive creatures known as Titans. These mindless beasts have all but wiped out humanity, and mankind is left to cower in fear behind massive walls. When their sanctum is infiltrated by a slew of Titans, Eren and his friends Armin and Mikasa join the military to help eradicate the blood-thirty monsters. But, as they grow older, they learn that the beasts are not what they appear as long-held government conspiracies make themselves known.
