BIGBANG's Taeyang Announces Engagement To Min Hyo Rin

It looks like congrats are in order for a member of BIGBANG. Reports have confirmed that Taeyang will be marrying his longtime girlfriend Min Hyo Rin next spring.

Earlier today, Star News reported that Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin were looking to get married in 2018 (via Soompi). A source told the publication, "Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin are preparing to get married early next year. It is being planned for February 2018. [They] planned on having a wedding before Taeyang's enlistment."

The report rocked fans, and YG Entertainment did confirm the plans were correct in a statement. The stars' agencies confirmed Taeyang and Min Hyo Rin are looking to wed early next spring.

"It is true that they are getting married in February next year. It's not a shotgun wedding," the joint statement read.

Taeyang took to Instagram to write his own statement about his impending nuptials. The singer posted a photo of himself with his fiance. You can read up on the idol's full statement below:

Fans learned that Taeyang was dating Min Hyo Rin back in Mary 2015 after the actress starred in a music video with the idol. The couple have been together since and are looking to marry before Taeyang enters mandatory enlistment within the South Korean military.
