Fans of Code Geass have been waiting for nearly a decade for their favorite franchise to return to screens. Last week, fans got good news, as a new preview for the return/new chapter of the franchise with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection was released. Not much is known about the new series, it is promised to bring fans a new chapter of the franchise. The new title even promises the return of Lelouch. The cast of the show is yet to be revealed, but one member of the Dub cast has stated that he hopes he is asked to return.

Voice actor Yuri Lowenthal did a Reddit AMA and answered all kinds of questions about voice acting and the characters he plays. Lowenthal has an impressive resume, playing Sasuke in Naruto, Simon in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Suzaku in Code Geass. Amidst all of the questions about Naruto one fan asked Yuri about his role in the upcoming Code Geass series and his thoughts. Reddit user Ninoyiya asked, "It's probably too early for any sort of confirmation, but are you going to be reprising your role as Suzaku Kururugi in 'Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection'?". Yuri responded almost immediately simply with, "I hope they ask me to." So as of the AMA there has been no English Dubs recorded for the return of the series, but that is not surprising as the show does not have an official release date, but is rumored that it is not coming Spring of 2018. Regardless, Lowenthal hopes to play Suzaku again, so fans will have to wait and see when the English Dub is announced.

As of now, there is no update on whether Lelouch of the Resurrection will be released as a film of television series. Earlier last month, a shortened teaser for the title of the anime was shared with fans, and it said Code Geass' third chapter is already in production. Fans are now wondering if Sunrise intends to debut Lelouch of the Resurrection this year.

If you have not caught up on all things Code Geass, then you still have time. Even though the series is a long, it is highly revered by anime fans. Aside from the first two seasons, there is another spin-off OVA series as well.

Code Geass: Akito the Exiled is a five-part miniseries that takes place between the two full seasons. Funimation has plans to release the OVA series on home video early next year, so fans will be able to watch it before Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection makes it big release.
