Warning! Potential spoilers for Dragon Ball Super’s ‘Universal Survival’ arc lie below!

Back in April, fans of Dragon Ball watched as the franchise’s latest anime embarked a new story arc. The ‘Universal Survival’ storyline began shortly after Goku convinced Zen-Oh to host a tournament for the best fighters in the multiverse. However, it looks like one video game may be hinting at the arc’s eventual end game.
The opening trailer for Super Dragon Ball Heroes 5 was released earlier this month, and anime fans are starting to pour over its footage. The video, which can be seen above, begins with a scenic view of the Tournament of Power arena. The trailer shows Goku and Golden Freeza standing across from Jiren of Universe 11. The arena looks barren as the event’s other fighters are MIA, and Golden Freeza is then seen charging Jiren who looks nonplussed by the assault.
Of course, Super Dragon Ball Heroes 5 isn’t considered canon by many fans, but the folks working on the game may have know how Dragon Ball Super will end its currena rc. In the past, the franchise has given minor spoilers for the anime during the ‘Future Trunks’ arc with Goku Black, so it is not impossible to think its latest game could tease part of the ‘Universe Survival’ arc.
So far, fans don’t seem too surprised by the idea of Golden Freeza and Goku teaming up to fight Jiren. The pair of fighters are very different, but they do share a love for battle. The Universe 7 duo has already signaled their interest in Jiren, but fans do seem surprised the trio are fighting by themselves. The opening may have simply left out the other tournament fighters for practical reasons, but some fans are speculating the clip implies the fighters will be the last ones standing in Zen-Oh’s game. And, if that is the case, fans can expect to see one intense match when the warriors all face off!
