Dragon Ball Super Producer Teases Goku’s Growing Strength

For months fans have been waiting to see what Goku will give us in the Tournament of Power, with them now getting a glimpse of what they can expect from their hero.

After months of speculation, Dragon Ball Super producer Hiroyuki Sakurada has confirmed that Goku will be getting stronger in the near future. Sakurada himself officially released this information in a promo, highlighting what’s to come in September for Dragon Ball Super. This information comes to fans as no surprise, as it has already been confirmed that Goku’s Super Saiyan God transformation will be returning, as well as a possibility of new power up in recent weeks.

In the recently released promo, we can see two images of Goku, with both of them teasing fans about a potential new transformation. The first image shows Goku shirtless, battered and bruised, in what looks like his base form, however; his hair is spiked just as when he has powered up into a Super Saiyan. The aura around him looks red, yet Goku’s hair color hasn’t changed.

While in the second image we can see the red aura surrounding Goku again, as well as his hair still remaining his regular black color. Although, this time the red aura surrounding Goku looks stronger, as the red is much darker than the first image. However, fans have seen that image before, as it has been showcased in the opening scenes of Dragon Ball Super during the Tournament of Power Arc.

The red aura could simply be more proof that Super Saiyan God is returning, however; that just doesn’t add up. Especially now with Sakurada confirming that Goku will be getting stronger, as well as the fact that this aura looks different to Goku’s Super Saiyan God form.

Fans haven’t seen this power up since the beginning of Dragon Ball Super, where Goku fought Universe 7’s the god of destruction Beerus. Although, fans do remember that Super Saiyan God did look quite different, especially when it came to Goku’s hair. In the images recently released, we see Goku with black hair and a red aura, however; when Goku is in his God form his hair turns red as well.

Therefore, fans should assume that although Super Saiyan God is returning, the form in the images might not be that transformation, with it instead possibly being something new. Especially with it now being confirmed that Goku will be getting stronger, fans should assume that this is the case, as recycling the old power ups shouldn’t increase his strength; well without improvements that is.
