Looking from afar, Dragon Ball fans may think the franchise has little in common with Oprah Winfrey, but that’s not the case any more. The talk show icon may be best-known for her riches and long-standing Hollywood career, but anime fans are now being reintroduced to Oprah through one hilarious Dragon Ball meme.

Ah, the power of the Internet.

Over the weekend, Disney held its annual D23 convention in Anaheim, and the event dropped the first trailer for A Wrinkle in Time. The live-action adaptation stars talents like Reese Witherspoon, Storm Reid, Chris Pine, and Oprah Winfrey. The latter plays Mrs. Which, the leader of the story’s gaggle of witches. But, when the magical lead made her live-action debut, Dragon Ball fans could only see Oprah going Super Saiyan.

Over on Twitter, user @McJesse combined Oprah and Dragon Ball in the best way possible with one hilarious meme. The meme sees Oprah ‘power up’ during a talk show segment before a photo of Goku leveling into his Super Saiyan form cuts in. When Oprah returns, the star does so through a still of Mrs Which from A Wrinkle in Time. The witch can be seen rocking some gravity-defying hair and floating in the sky as if she were a Super Saiyan whom Piccolo would think twice before crossing.

The meme has prompted plenty of chuckles from otakus worldwide, but the picture does have fans wondering whether Mrs. Which will debut her final form in A Wrinkle in Time. If the witch wants to have a chance against beating Freeza or Majin Buu, then Oprah will need to find a Hyperbolic Time Chamber ASAP!
