Inuyasha may have gone off air years ago, but the historical-adventure anime is one fans keep coming back to. The fantastical series has a loyal fanbase which spreads across the globe, and the folks over at The Galaxy Theatre know it. As such, the location will be debuting a live-action play based on Inuyasha later this year, and fans have fawned over its flawless casting so far. And, now, another batch of character posters have only confirmed the play can do no wrong.
The play's official website uploaded several new character photos which highlight a few of Inuyasha's major characters. Miroku, Kaede, Sesshomaru, and Naraku are all shown dressed in character - and they look as if they were taken straight from Rumkio Takahashi's manga.

If you want to know more about Inuyasha, then you can easily catch-up on the series. You can check out a summary of the series below from Viz Media:
"After falling into an old well and into ancient Japan, Kagome discovers that her destiny is linked to the dog-like half demon called Inuyasha! As Kagome learns more about her connection to the past and to Inuyasha, she comes into conflict with the terrible demons that are drawn to the Shikon Jewel, including Inuyasha's own half brother, Sesshomaru. Finding the shards of the Shikon Jewel is going to require powerful magic, strange allies, and a strong heart. Kagome's got plenty of heart, but she's going to need Inuyasha's help for the rest of it, and he may not be so willing to lend a hand!"
At its core, the anime follows half-human, half-demon boy named Inuyasha and a teenager from Tokyo called Kagome. The latter is transported from modern-day Tokyo to the past after falling into her family's shrine, and she is bombarded by demons. It turns out the girl carries a magical item known as the Shikon Jewel in her body since she is the reincarnation of a powerful priest. The demons want its power, but Inuyasha manages to stop the hoard from killing Kagome, but the feat managed to shattered the Shikon Jewel.
Inuyasha then follows the mismatched couple as they go head-to-head and work together to find all the missing jewel shards. While the anime has aged over the years, the series still ranks as one of the highest-rated amongst Japanese and American fans.
