Inuyasha is a gigantic franchise with a loyal international following. Now, even though the show is off the air, fans continue to go back for more. The fantastical series received an epic live action play adaptation at The Galaxy Theatre this year, and fans loved the casting. Last week good news was announced for those who couldn’t make it to Tokyo to see the play live, Fuji TV Two will be airing the full performance this summer.

The stage play, originally ran from April 6-15 at the Tennozu Galaxy Theater. Fuji TV will be showing to the television broadcast will be of the first performance, and will take place on June 2 starting at 9:30 AM.

“After falling into an old well and into ancient Japan, Kagome discovers that her destiny is linked to the dog-like half demon called Inuyasha! At its core, the anime follows half-human, half-demon boy named Inuyasha and a teenager from Tokyo called Kagome. The latter is transported from modern-day Tokyo to the past after falling into her family’s shrine, and she is bombarded by demons. It turns out the girl carries a magical item known as the Shikon Jewel in her body since she is the reincarnation of a powerful priest. The demons want its power, but Inuyasha manages to stop the hoard from killing Kagome, but the feat managed to shattered the Shikon Jewel.
