If you have not been paying attention to the world of K-Pop, then it is about time you started. Sure, everyone seems to know just enough about the genre thanks to Psy’s ever-popular “Gangnam Style,” but other acts from South Korea are breaking big in the U.S. Groups such as BTS and GOT7 recently had a series of sold-out shows in the U.S., and other acts like Big Bang and EXO continue to tout fanbases that would make One Direction lovers gawk. With K-Pop gaining steam in recent years, it is no surprise to see that some American artists would want to get in on the action – but one group has sent the Internet into a rage with their attempt.

Over on Instagram, the so-called K-Pop group EXP Edition has started to promote themselves to the dismay of fans. The all-American band hails from New York and consists of four members named Frankie, Sime, Koki, and Hunter. However, K-Pop fans cannot get over the fact that none of these singers are Korean. Their first teaser video debuted on Youtube earlier this week, and “Feel Like This” is sung in Korean.

But, if you wade into the K-Pop fandom, you will find that fans are not okay with this “fresh hybrid” group.

You can check out some of the fandom’s best reactions in the following slides, but be warned: they are not pretty.
