Calling all superhero fans, because TOHO has released a new ad for the second season of the hit series My Hero Academy. That’s right we got a new teaser from the hit show that features a regular teenager who was born in an alternate universe, where everyone has superpowers. The new 30-second video ad highlights two characters from the first season (seen above).

The video is a promo for two characters, Shouto Todorko and Fumikage Tokoyami. Shouto is known for his half-cold half-hot abilities/power. The right side of his body has the power to generate ice, and the left side generates fire. In the promo we see him turn a spear into ice and we also briefly get to see his giant ice wall technique. Fumikage is a hero with the head of a bird and the body of a human. Fumikage has a shadow like monster inside of him that he has the ability to materialize freely. In the promo we see the powerful shadow monster crush those in front of him. The video is short but definitely is enough to get us excited for the new season.
This is not the first video showing heroes returning for the new season, with two other videos previously released for Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, and Tenya Iida.
The new season will be directed by Kenji Nagasaki, and the writing will be done by Yousuke Kuroda. Both of which worked on the first season. The main cast from the first season will be returning, and there will also be at least seven new characters ad voice actors added as well.
Season two of My Hero Academy will begin airing on March 25 2017 in Japan on NTV and YTV. This season will start with and follow the U.A. Sports Festival arc from the original manga story. The first season of the anime was streamed in Japanese with English subs, and streamed an English dub as well. It is safe to assume that it will do the same or season two.
