One Piece’s anime is currently featuring the Egghead Incident Arc, where the situation has taken a turn for the worse with the arrival of more villains. Although the manga is currently continuing a new adventure in Elbaf, the anime still has a while to go before the Egghead Incident Arc is over. However, just when the series is getting more intense, @pewpiece on X confirms that the anime will go on a two-week hiatus in October after releasing Episode 1145 on September 28th, 2025. Episode 1146, which should have been released on October 5th according to the usual schedule, has been delayed until October 19th, 2025.

While the information doesn’t come from an official source, the account is famous for sharing all kinds of updates regarding One Piece and is reliable. There’s no detail about the broadcast on October 5th, since it may not be related to anything about One Piece. On the other hand, the anime will feature another recap episode on October 12th, centering around CP0 agents. Although it’s common for One Piece to take a one-week break in the form of recaps, it has been a while since we’ve had a longer hiatus. Not to mention that it will happen right before a crucial point in the story, but considering Toei Animation’s adaptation so far, it’s going to be worth our while.
One Piece’s Anime Will Soon Enter the Final Phase of the Egghead Incident Arc
The latest Episode 1144 shocked everyone with the sudden arrival of all Five Elders, as we witnessed their horrifying forms for the first time. The World Government is desperate to kill enough people, and clearly, the Straw Hat Pirates have ruined all their assassination attempts. They sent CP0 and 100 Marine Ships with several Vice Admirals and Admiral Kizaru, before Saint Jaygarcia Saturn arrived on the island. It’s evident that they are still lacking in manpower to stop a Yonko crew and Jewelry Bonney running around the island.
The arrival of the Giant Pirates only spells more trouble for them, so the rest of the Elders also had to arrive on Egghead using the strange teleportation circle. According to the preview of Episode 1145, Luffy reunites with Dorry and Brogy for the first time since the Little Garden Arc. The three will also join hands against the Elders, but the villains’ strange powers will prove quite challenging. It can be said that this moment marks the beginning of the true Egghead Incident, since we have yet to witness the real shocking event that’s going to turn the world upside down.
The event will also explain why the World Government was so desperate to stop Vegapunk. Meanwhile, Zoro and Lucci are still fighting one another as neither side shows any sign of backing down. Jinbe will arrive to lend Zoro a hand while the rest of the crew prepares to escape the island. The anime has already confirmed that the Straw Hats’ next destination is Elbaf, and the Giant Pirates will definitely take them there now that they have reunited with Luffy.
