Sui Ishida, the man behind the dark fantasy series Tokyo Ghoul has been releasing a number of images in recent times of his never before seen work. As a result, the famous manga illustrator released one sketch of the main characters in Kaneki Ken as a ghoul on Twitter.

Since the Manga began in 2011 within Weekly Young Jump's magazine, the series has inspired a light novel, an animated television series, a video animation, inspired several video games and has its own live-action adaptation that was released in July this year. For the moment Tokyo Ghoul fans are eagerly awaiting the series' next animated season, which is expected to be released in the early months of 2018.

However, the manga is also still in production, with these recent sketches by the creator Ishida, showing fans that he is continuously creating content for the franchise. The Tokyo Ghoul anime and manga has become one of the most popular animations in Japan, with the story following a boy named Ken Kaneki. The boy goes on a date but it all goes wrong, which leaves him with Ghoul powers. Due to now being half a Ghoul, Kaneki struggles with his new life and attempts to fit into Ghoul society, keep his monstrous status hidden from humans and tries to bottle up the insatiable hunger he has for their flesh.

If you are unfamiliar with the Tokyo Ghoul series then you still have plenty of time to catch up before the next season is aired. For the moment, Viz Media has rights to publish Tokyo Ghoul in the U.S, with the company describing the series as such:

"Haise Sasaki has been tasked with teaching Qs Squad how to be outstanding investigators, but his assignment is complicated by the troublesome personalities of his students and his own uncertain grasp of his Ghoul powers. Can he pull them together as a team, or will Qs Squad first assignment be their last?"
