It's no secret; Anime Blu-rays and DVDs are expensive. Adding an animated film to your collection can be a costly endeavor, so fans are always happy to see their favorite movies hit digital streaming.So, if you have been holding out on Sword Art Online's film, you do not have to any longer. After all, the debut feature did just hit digital release.

Not long ago, Aniplex of America confirmed Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale can now be found on digital release. Platforms like Vudu, iTunes, and the Microsoft Store all carry the film's basic edition. The licenser assured fans the film will be sold on Amazon Video and the PlayStation Video store at a later date.

Right now, it looks like there is a price cut for the digital release. You can nab the film on iTunes for $15 or rent it for $5. The film's standard DVD will cost you nearly $30 if you order it right now.
