If you have been keeping up with Toonami lately, then you know the late-night program has gone through a few changes. The anime rundown recently axed One Piece from its schedule to make room for a new series, Tokyo Ghoul. The announcement was met with mixed feelings, but many viewers felt as if Tokyo Ghoul‘s grittier aesthetic suited the mature block. However, it looks like fans will have to pump the breaks on the ultra-violent show thanks to another dark anime series.

That’s right! If you guessed that Attack on Titan may make Tokyo Ghoul stumble, then you would be correct. Last week, Toonami confirmed that it would bring Attack on Titan‘s second season to its block starting on April 29, but those plans have since changed. In order to make room for the new show, some changes will be put in place over on Toonami, and they will briefly shift Tokyo Ghoul‘s schedule around.

Over on Facebook, Toonami just announced it was moving up the premiere date of Attack on Titan‘s second season. The show will now start airing on April 22 at 12:30 A.M., but the shift has forced the block to do some rearranging. With Attack on Titan being shifted forward, Tokyo Ghoul will go on hiatus during the week of April 15 before it makes a return the following week. The former week will also see JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure double-up showings from 12:30 A.M. to 1:30 A.M.

“Attack On Titan Season 2 is coming to Toonami April 22nd at 12:30am! One week earlier that previously announced!!! So we’re pressing pause (for just one week!) on Tokyo Ghoul the week before, and doubling up JoJo’s on April 15th. Confused? Excited? Both?!?” the block wrote.
