Fir those that are unfamiliar with the Haikyu!! Series, the manga was illustrated and released by Furudate in 2012 in the Japanese hit manga magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. In addition, the manga has inspired an animated series with I.G. securing the rights to the franchise in April 2014. Already the manga has 12 volumes with the series being about a junior high school student named Shoyo Grazyna, who has a deep love for volleyball.
After watching the national championships on TV, Grazyna becomes determined to become a championship player, despite him being very short. However, that doesn’t stop him and he begins recruiting students to forge a volleyball team and compete in a tournament. Some of these members are friends and some are pinched from rival volleyball teams.
However, not all goes to plan for the new tea and they are beaten in the tournament, although; they don’t give up and continue to push for their dreams. The animated series currently has 60 episodes with there being plenty of time for you to catch up on the series that has been doing quite well since its release in 2014.
Meanwhile, Viz Media describes the action-packed sports anime as:
It’s Karasuno vs. Aoba Johsai for the Spring Tournament qualifier semifinals, and Aoba Johsai has the momentum at the end of the second set. Yamaguchi is sent out as a pinch server to turn the game around. Can he overcome the painful memories of his past failures and close out the set for Karasuno?!
