As Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy has been hospitalized for severe chest pains, his fellow stars from the original series have expressed their support and well wishes for the former Mr. Spock on social media.
William Shatner, who played Captain Kirk alongside Nimoy’s Spock, wished Nimoy a speedy recovery on Twitter yesterday. He also took the time to express his appreciation for all of the support that Nimoy’s fans and collaborators also sent.
I am uplifted by the show of love & caring tweeted to my dear friend @TheRealNimoy. I join the chorus of well wishers for a quick recovery!

As ComicBook.com reported yesterday, Nimoy was rushed to UCLA Medical Center this past Thursday for severe chest pains. This latest trip follows several other hospital visits that the actor has recently taken. Nimoy revealed last year that he was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
While no official word on Nimoy’s current condition has been released, check back in for more updates as they develop.
