Thomas explains that Liv eats the brain of a country-western songwriter and “we get to hear Rose McIver sing. And she’s great!” What isn’t she great at?
“Don E. tracks down Gabriel, the guy who originally cut the tainted Utopium,” he says of the episode’s subplot. “One of my favorite things about this episode is our weird little comedy trio of Blaine, Chief and Don E.” Adding to its appeal is that the actor playing Don E. is the same one that played Scott E. in the first season. They liked the actor, Bryce Hodgson, so much that the producers/writers invented a twin brother so he could come back to the series.
