On tonight’s season two premiere of The Flash, we witnessed Ronnie’s Firestorm character vanish with the singularity after helping Barry stop Central City from being devoured into the wormhole.

What exactly happened to Ronnie, though? With super hero TV shows, you can never be sure of a character’s fate, so we have a few theories.

He’s Dead

ย

The simple theory here is just what Barry, Iris, and the rest of the characters on The Flash suspect – Ronnie is dead.

This could have a major impact on characters going forward, especially his recent wife, Caitlin. However, in the premiere episode, Ronnie’s death is a factor, however is not as prominent an issue as one might suspect and we never did see a body. So, what are some of the other possibilities?

Not Dead With No Memory

ย

It’s a possibility that Ronnie found himself surviving the disaster above Central City but lost all of his memory.

The run in with death or alternate universes may very well have wiped Ronnie’s memory and made him a completely different person than we’ve come to know. He could still be somewhere on Earth with no idea of his true identity.

Perhaps he’ll return and end up battling his wife, Caitlin, who is eventually going to become Killer Frost. Firestorm vs. Killer Frost, anyone?

Alternate Earth

ย

Bringing in the possibilities of the multiverse, maybeย Ronnie was transported to an alternate dimension’s Earth.

Jay Garrick arrived towards the end of the episode and said, “Your world is in trouble,” indicating there are alternate worlds. Perhaps Ronnie is in the world from which Jay Garrickย hails or one of the other Earth’s of the multiverse.
