It looks like Space isn’t the final frontier for William Shatner.
The former Star Trek lead is set for another explorative adventure—but this time, it’s within the confines of planet Earth. As NBC announced today, Shatner will star in Better Late Than Never, a non-fiction TV series where Shatner will trek to Asain countries and experience their culture. And while Spock or Bones may not be along for the ride, fellow celebrities Henry Winkler, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman, and Jeff Dye will tag along.

According to NBC, Shatner and his crew will navigate through Asain cities, communicating with locals, immersing themselves in local traditions, and enjoying exotic foods. As the crew checks off their “bucket list” of experiences and adventures to have, they’ll lean on each other through the various snafus and twists one might expect on a globe-trotting adventure. (Apparently, no assistants, limos, or phaser guns will be around to assist them.)
The series will begin production this August, as the celebrities travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Chang Mai.
