It’s no secret that Marvel is pretty good at elevating the profiles of the characters they hope to promote in other media–when Guardians of the Galaxy was announced as a movie, it was a matter of months before a new, ongoing series was rolled out featuring an all-star creative team on the characters, for instance.Well, June’s solicitations are starting to dribble out for Marvel, and among the images is the cover at left–for Wolverine #4–which puts the berserker mutant (whose movie is coming out in July) against S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson (whose TV pilot and presumptive series will launch in the fall). In Coulson’s hands is a weapon decidedly familiar-looking, too.In any event, I’m guessing Wolverine will handle that fall better…Check out the solicitation for this and Wolverine #5 below.
