5 Marvel Characters Who Need Their Own Fanfare Spotlight

Due to the hype by fans and comic creators alike before Marvel’s First Family arrived in the MCU, Marvel brought the Fantastic Four back into the forefront on the pages of comics. To give them a well deserved welcome home, Marvel launched Fantastic Four Fanfare, a four-issue limited series giving readers all-new stories from the beloved team, offering something for longtime readers and new fans alike. It’s been a great way to show why these characters are among the best ones Marvel’s ever had and why they matter as a whole, but they’re not the only characters who deserve the “Fanfare” treatment. There are plenty more who’ve been stuck in limbo, having a dry spell, or just deserve to be celebrated.

Fantastic Four Fanfare has been a good. fun time. With the success of this series, we’d love to see more characters who deserves the same deal. Here are five that we think deserve the “Fanfare” treatment next.

1) Iron Fist

Just because his show backfired doesn’t mean his comics were bad. Iron Fist has had a long and strange history with Marvel fans. He’s the definition of a cult classic character with a cool history and concept. Ever since his Netflix show of the same name, however, he’s been seen as a bit of a joke despite being super cool.

Giving Danny Rand a fanfare series could show Marvel fans of all backgrounds that he’s always been cool. Especially with Iron Fist currently being a popular character in Marvel Rivals, now would be a great time to see this character in the spotlight.

2) The Inhumans

Speaking of backfired Marvel television concepts we have the Inhumans. Things didn’t exactly work out for the Inhumans when it came to the MCU, but enough time has passed since their failed live-action television series that it’s time to see them make a comeback in comics. By leaning into the Fanfare concept, Marvel could reintroduce this intersting team and help reestablish them across the Marvel universe more broadly. More than that, there’s plenty of opportunity to connect them to more popular groups, like the Fantastic Four, given some of their own rich history.

3) Daredevil

Likely the most popular character of this bunch, Daredevil should get the Fanfare treatment not because he needs it, but because he’s just such an interesting and complex character currently experiencing a popularity surge. He has a lot going for him right now that he’s back with a revived live-action television series bringing even more fans into his story. This would be a great way to also bring fans more into his comics as well. Honestly, you can never have too much Hornhead at the end of the day.

4) Moon Knight

Garnering a lot more praise from Jed McKay’s run, Moon Knight should have a Fanfare title in the same vein as Daredevil. He’s plenty popular (more so since the Disney+ series) but should have a lot more celebration coming his way for just how interesting of a character he is. With so many different interpretations of the characters over the years, putting them all together in one Fanfare title would be a good intro to Moon Knight for new readers as well as a nice refresher for longtime fans.

Bringing back some of that top tier talent that he’s had over the years would help him on that front as well. It would be a great way to show fans of the television series how interesting his comics can be. He’s a lot more than Marvel’s Batman and deserves a chance to really shine.

5) Hawkeye

Rounding out our list for characters who need a Fanfare title is Hawkeye. Whether it’s Clint Barton or Kate Bishop, they both have plenty of room to stand together. Showing the best archers in the Marvel Universe together once again would be great, especially since fans are still hoping for more of both Hawkeyes in live action. A Hawkeye Fanfare book would just be a really great way to continue to explore characters that fans of the MCU have already come to love and that we don’t get nearly enough of in comics.
