Flash And Cyborg

News came out a few days ago that Ray Fisher's Cyborg would indeed be appearing in Director Rick Famuyiwa's upcoming Flash film, but that may not be the case.

The Director linked to the story in a tweet and captioned it with "#SaysWho ?". While it could just be a case of him purposely throwing some misinformation out into the ether, it could also be a real question. If that turns out to be the case, there could be some communication problems at the studio.

It's something that multiple Twitter users picked up on as well, as earlier this year Executive Producer Deborah Snyder spoke about DC's upcoming slate, and specifically mentioned Flash and Cyborg.

"David Ayer's Suicide Squad has such an amazing, brash tone. It's fun and it's about the villains, and it's super-different than Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, which is an origin story and tells her story. As you can imagine, when we get to the Flash movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher — who plays Cyborg — are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice comradery with each other. Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them."

Those comments would imply that the two are in the film together at some point, but it doesn't guarantee that their time on screen is substantial, so perhaps it is more of a cameo. With how planned out these things are, that's a pretty big detail to be left up in the air. If the two's chemistry is as great as the studio makes it sound, though, hopefully, Ray Fisher does make the final cut.

The Flash is slated to hit theaters on March 16th, 2018.
