It’s official: Suicide Squad has taken home an Oscar! The action-packed flick made its way into theaters last year, and the blockbuster introduced a slew of villains to the DC Extended Universe. Baddies like Harley Quinn and Deadshot were forced to work together on a task force focused on making super-villains do the jobs normal soldiers could not. Despite mixed reviews, the colorful film went on to make bank at the worldwide box office, and it can now add an Academy Award to its long list of accolades.

Of course, the win has caused quite a stir online. Fans of the DCEU are taking a moment to celebrate a major win for the franchise while others question the film’s win. Either way, the Academy has caused sites like Twitter to be inundated with reactions to Suicide Squad‘s win.
