Last night's episode of Arrow delivered one of the biggest twists in the history of the series. Most people had assumed that District Attorney Adrian Chase (played by Josh Segarra) would turn out to be the gun-toting Vigilante, since that is who Chase is in the comics. But, while Vigilante and Prometheus engaged in a rooftop fight over which one of them will get to kill Mayor Oliver Queen, we learned that Chase is actually Prometheus — this season's big bad.
Now that the cat's out of the bad, it'll be interesting to see Chase continue to manipulate Oliver, who considers Chase to be a friend and someone he can confide private matters to.
Based on the trailer above for next Wednesday's "Checkmate" episode, Oliver will learn that Chase is Prometheus from Talia. But will that info get to Oliver with enough time for him to save Susan Williams?
OLIVER SEEKS THE TRUTH — Oliver (Stephen Amell) gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. Meanwhile, Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) until she does a favor for them.
Ken Shane directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Sarah Tarkoff.
Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl), Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Supergirl), Wendy Mericle (Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone) and Sarah Schechter (Supergirl, Blindspot).
