There will be one more vigilante roaming the streets of Star City in Arrow season five.
The show has cast actor Joe Dinicol in the role of Rory Regan, known by comic fans as Ragman (via EW). Dinicol was recently seen in NBC’s Blindside, where he played David throughout the show’s first season. He has also starred in Grey’s Anatomy and the television series Betas, and he’ll make his first appearance as Ragman in Arrow’s second episode of the season.

As for Ragman, the character is a longtime DC vigilante who wears a patchwork suit made by his father to fight crime. The suit has the ability to absorb corrupted souls, and once absorbed Ragman can call on their abilities at any time. While it increases his strength and speed, initially absorbing the soul takes a great deal out of him.
It’s a premise that fits right in with Arrow’s grittier surroundings, and evidently Ragman comes to Oliver’s town in a quest to find answers. With Star City overrun with violence and gang influence at the beginning of season five, there should be no shortage of corrupted souls for him to harvest.
Dinicol is the latest in several new additions to the fan-favorite show, which include Chad Coleman, Madison McLaughlin (Artemis), Tyler Ritter as a new Detective, Rick Gonzalez (Wild Dog), Carly Pop as a new reporter, Cody Rhodes, and Josh Segarra (Vigilante).
Arrow returns to the CW later this year.
