The collectible company has unveiled their Batman: Ascending Knight figure, the newest in their One: 12 line of figures. The figure is heavily inspired by Batman’s first DC Comics appearance in Detective Comics #27, with distinct ears and an early version of the character’s chest emblem.
You can check out the official description for the figure below.
“Every Knight has a beginning and the One:12 Collective’s Batman starts here. BatmanโAscending Knight is part of a trilogy: A beginning, a middle and an end. The Ascending Knight is Batman in his first year; designed to be contemporary but still have a first appearance feel. This is the Batman of 10 years ago, as he just began his war on crime.
At the start of his crime-fighting career Bruce Wayne is still working things out, finding what works and what doesn’t. Some of his tech and gear is still a bit unfinished and raw. His Bat Suit is bulky, showing that he has not yet fine-tuned it.
Of course the design pays homage to Batman as he first appeared in Detective Comics. The shape of his cowl, the shorter gloves and the smaller symbol on his chest are all inspired by his original debut in the comics.”
As the name of the line suggests, the figure is at a 1/12 scale, and measures over 16 centimeters tall. The figure will come with a deluxe box, as well as a collective display base with the Batman logo.
The figure features over 30 points of articulation, and a slew of various accessories. It will also include an unmasked head mold, as well as seven interchangable hands, including fists, posed hands, and hands holding a grappling hook and a Batarang.
If you’d like to add the Batman: Ascending Knight figure to your collection, it is currently available for pre-order on Mezco’s website. The figure will retail for $80.00, and is set to ship out between January and March of 2018.
