Telltale Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have released the first trailer for Batman: The Telltale Series.

The first of five episodes in the season, Episode 1: ‘Realm of Shadows’ will be released digitally worldwide on Tuesday, August 2 on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360, for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore.
The series will receive a physical retail release on September 13 in North America as a special Season Pass Disc, which will include “Episode 1: Realm of Shadows” and will grant access to the subsequent four episodes as they become available for download via online updates. The series will be released at retailers in Europe on September 16th.
Telltale’s synopsis for the game reads, “Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead โ A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.”
Featuring a an art style meant to look like “a living, breathing comic book,” Batman: The Telltale Series will feature Troy Baker in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey as Selina Kyle, with additional cast and characters still to be revealed as the series progresses.
