On Friday, just after The Hollywood Reporter revealed that director Seth Grahame-Smith had left The Flash movie due to "creative differences," Devin Faraci of BMD claimed that "multiple, reliable sources" had informed him that director James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7) is considering walking away from Aquaman. Supposedly, Wan "is feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation" toward WB's big-budget film.
Since that report came out, Aquaman and DCEU fans were left in a state of limbo for much of this weekend, but James Wan has finally responded to the rumor.
Wan posted an image of himself casually leaning against a giant mural of the King of the Seven Seas. It's a quiet and classy way of saying he's still very much committed to Aquaman.
Please, there's absolutely no need to attack Devin, or anyone.— James Wan (@creepypuppet) May 2, 2016
