In the DCTV universe, onscreen character deaths usually take on a whole other meaning. As it turns out, this is especially true for one of the returning characters of Legends of Tomorrow season 3, Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).
It was confirmed during the show's panel at the Television Critics Association press tour that the version of Darhk in Legends' third season will be from after his death in Arrow season four, seeming to insinuate that he will somehow be resurrected after being stabbed with an arrow by Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).
If that sounds confusing, that's totally okay. While Darhk already appeared in Legends' second season as a member of the Legion of Doom, it was thanks to him being pulled out of an earlier point in his timeline by Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher). After the events of the season two finale, Darhk was returned to his prime timeline, and was given a memory wipe to prevent him from remembering having been a member of the Legion of Doom.
If the memory wipe does take effect, it will create a particularly interesting situation in Legends' third season. While Darhk might not remember his past encounters against the Legends, he will now remember the events of Arrow's fourth season - namely, killing Laurel Lance/Black Canary (Katie Cassidy). Although Laurel's sister, Sara Lance/White Canary (Caity Lotz) seemingly closed the book on the quest to avenge her sister in the season two finale, there's a chance that going up against this new version of Darhk will change that.
Fan will just have to wait until Legends of Tomorrow season three premieres to see how Darhk's resurrection further impacts the time-traveling misfits.
The series returns to Tuesday nights at 9 p.m., following new episodes of The Flash, in October.0comments
Once reunited, the Legends will challenge the Time Bureau’s authority over the timeline and insist that however messy their methods may be, some problems are beyond the Bureau’s capabilities. Some problems can only be fixed by Legends.
