At the end of Arrow's fourth season, Oliver Queen was elected as the mayor of Star City. When wondering how this new appointment will affect his role as The Green Arrow, it most definitely has an impact.

In the newest clip from the season five premiere, Legacy, the new mayor is having trouble learning what to say, and in front of whom. When attending a police gala, followed by a ceremony for Black Canary, Oliver opens his mouth a little more than he should.

Like you would expect, Thea is not too pleased with her brother's forward attitude. Take a look!

Just as he starts his run as mayor, Oliver has already made enemies with the police department. At the police gala, he addresses the media, stating that he will begin investigating corruption within the department. If that isn't a slap in the face, what is?

When talking with Thea, Mayor queen reveals why it is he's so quick to dismiss political correctness. He may have cared about being mayor at one point, but he has clearly gotten past that.

The real reason Oliver continues his duty as mayor is to assist with his work as the Green Arrow. Since he has access to the entire city, he can investigate the police, and get insider information, while not wasting any time fighting crime.

This new attitude is helpful to Green Arrow, since his team has disbanded, but it could spell trouble for Oliver Queen. If he isn't careful, the enemies of Oliver could bleed over into his night-life.

Arrow returns for its fifth season on Wednesday, October 5 at 8pm ET on The CW.
