The "Legion of Super-Heroes" Assemble In 'Supergirl' Midseason Premiere Promo

The CW has released a promo for "Legion of Super-Heroes", the tenth episode of Supergirl's third season.

The midseason premiere episode will see Team Supergirl in a pretty unique state, after Kara Danvers/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) was put into a coma by Samantha Arias/Reign (Odette Anable).

The promo shows Reign continuing her dominance over National City, including crashing the offices of CatCo and appearing to laser beam a hole through a concrete building.

While Kara still remains in a coma, it looks like there will still be people around to fend off the threat from Reign. For a brief sequence of the trailer, three hands wearing Legion of Super-Heroes rings can be seen.

It's safe to assume that the three hands belong to Mon-El (Chris Wood), Imra Ardeen/Saturn Girl (Amy Jackson), and Braniac 5 (Jesse Rath). And now that we know that the group has largely been inspired by Kara, it's easy to see why they would join the crusade against Reign.

"I don't want to tease too much." Benoist explained during a set visit last month. "But the fact that the Legion is coming to the show has such a hold in the comic book world, especially with Superman, Martian Manhunter, specifically. That's really exciting for us."

Supergirl will return on January 15th, 2018 on The CW.
