Caitlin Snow may have gone on sabbatical from Team Flash after struggling with her Killer Frost identity throughout much of the third season of The Flash, but fans shouldn't be worried about the character's future.
Danielle Panabaker, who plays Snow and Killer Frost on The CW series, says fans of either side of Caitlin's personality will have something to look forward to in The Flash's fourth season.
"What I can say is that fans who love Caitlin Snow won't be disappointed and fans who love Killer Frost won't be disappointed," Panabaker tells ComicBook.com at Comic-Con International: San Diego.
Panabaker herself is hoping to get a clearer understanding of what makes Caitlin Snow's bad side so bad.
"One of the things I wanted explained last season that I don't know was ever totally clear, and I don't know that we have the answer yet, is why Killer Frost is evil," she says. "I'm not totally sure why everything she does causes the physical body of Caitlin Snow to act so badly. So I'd like to know a little bit more about her motivation and why."
She also notes that Caitlin's ongoing identity crisis will likely continue to hamper the character's love life.
"Absolutely," Panabaker says. "I think that part of the reason last year that she wasn't ready to jump into a relationship with Julian is she was still dealing and coping with everything that was going on with her and I think she still has some stuff to figure out."
The Flash returns for its fourth season on The CW on Oct. 10, 2017.
