Sometimes, a film or TV series based on a comicbook will alter the original characters to fit the current themes or stories of the adaptation. This can be upsetting to a fan, but also a fun way to still get surprised by something you already know so much about.

CW’s The Flash has done this on numerous occasions, and they’ve often done it extremely well. One such case is the inclusion of long-time Flash character, Linda Park.

On the show, Linda, played by Malese Jow, was a love interest for Barry over the course of multiple episodes. She even ended up becoming the villain, Doctor Light.

In the comics, however, Linda Park was in love with the other Flash, Wally West. The two even got married at one point. Fans were confused to see Linda and Barry together on screen, but Wally’s character hadn’t really been developed yet.

In an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com, Malese Jow hinted that her character could return and have some kind of relationship with Wally in the future.

“Oh yeah that would be great. I know a lot of people were kinda confused with Linda dating Barry Allen at first, but now they are introducing Wally and establishing him. I’ve definitely gotten some tweets, that that’s kinda what people wanna see next,” says Jow. “I feel like Linda and Iris are in a good place and Linda and Barry are in a good place so it might actually be another cool dynamic to the show if they end up bringing on another little love storyline.”

If the people are tweeting about it, you know it’s real. Maybe The CW will take this into consideration and bring Linda back to date another Flash!

Based on the characters from DC, The Flash is from by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Arrow, Supergirl), Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow, The Flash), Sarah Schechter (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Aaron and Todd Helbing.

The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
