The Flash has added Tom Felton to the cast as a series regular in Season 3. Felton is best known for playing Harry Potter's foil, Draco Malfoy, in Warner Bros.' Harry Potter film franchise.
According to TVLine, Felton will play Julian Dorn. Like Barry Allen, Dorn is a CSI at the Central City Police Department. However, Dorn suspects his co-worker is more than just the "good guy" he appears to be.
Felton played Malfoy in all eight of Warner Bros.' Harry Potter movies, from 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone through 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow's Part 2. Since then, he's appeared on television in the first season of TNT's Murder in the First, in DirectTV's Full Circle, and in the historical miniseries Labyrinth.
Following from the game-changing events of The Flash's Season 2 finale episode, "The Race of His Life," The Flash Season 3 will begin with "Flashpoint," a title that references a major, universe altering DC Comics event. Barry Allen races back in time to prevent the Reverse-Flash from murdering Nora Allen, his mother, inadvertently restructuring the timeline into the "Flashpoint" universe.
The Flash Season 3 will also feature another crossover with its sister series on The CW. The Flash has crossed over with Arrow in each of its previous two seasons, but Season 3 will be the first time both of those shows also cross over with spinoff DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, which is moving to the CW from CBS.
While no exact episode number was specified, Felton is expected to debut as Dorn early in Season 3. The Flash Season 3 premieres Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
