On the Gotham Season 3 premiere, James Gordon is working as a bounty hunter, and he’s tracking down the Indian Hill escapees. Early in the episode, Gordon comes across a monster that looks a lot like Killer Croc, even though he is never identified by name.

Of course, the Killer Croc look-alike had been seen in numerous previews for the show, so he was no big surprise. Later in the episode, Gordon encountered several more monsters, including one that appeared to be the DC TV universe version of Man-Bat.

While the monster is not specifically identified as Man-Bat, the screen caps in the gallery below show the monster’s bat-wings flapping as Gordon holds him out the window.

While a Gotham EP claimed over a year ago that Man-Bat would never appear on the show, a different Gotham EP hinted that the situation might have changed in an interview that ran earlier today. Gotham EP Ken Woodruff brought up how Indian Hill changed the show, so that “this new element of Man Bat or Firefly or Mr. Freeze and the technology that surrounds that” now has a place.

So what do you think? Is the monster that Gordon dangles out the window Man-Bat?

Gotham airs on Monday nights at 8 PM ET on FOX.
