Just in time for the Wonder Woman movie to become a sensation at the box office, Six Flags has announced a new ride themed to the DC Comics heroine headed to one of their west coast parks.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Sacramento, California will be opening their Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth ride in 2017. The thrill ride will house 40 riders at a time, propelling them to speeds of nearly 70 miles per hour, as the gigantic round circle of seats rotates counterclockwise along the swing. The swing will offer a feeling of weightlessness up to 147 feet in the air!
The Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth ride will be squeezed between two other DC Comics themed rides at the Six Flags park: Superman: Ultimate Flight and The Joker. Despite having DC Comics themed rides at their parks throughout the country, including Batman and Green Lantern roller coasters, this will be the first attraction themed based on the the key member of the DC Comics Trinity: Wonder Woman.

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg & Geoff Johns, story by Heinberg & Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Lucy Davis, Saรฏd Taghmaoui, Ewen Bremner and David Thewlis.
Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston for DC Comics. She made her first appearance in All Star Comics #8 in 1941 and has gone on to become a feminist icon and one of DC Comics’ most beloved and recognizable characters. Though she had a popular television series in the 1970s starring Lynda Carter, the Wonder Woman movie will be the character’s first time headlining a film.
Wonder Woman opens in theaters in the United States and in the United Kingdom on June 2, 2017.
