It's been a long, rough ride for Clementine and company in the latest season of Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, but it will soon come to a head, as the publisher has announced that the season finale for the game's third chapter isn't too far off.

The company confirmed that the season finale will make its debut on May 30th, 2017, with the fifth episode, From the Gallows, looking to wrap things up – for now, at least.

Telltale provided a quick synopsis on what to expect from the final chapter of this season, which is bound to come with plenty of Walkers and a few rough decisions ready to set players back.

"In Telltale's most tailored episode to date, Richmond teeters on the brink of collapse as chaos reigns from all directions. The lives of its citizens and all those closest to Javier hang in the balance. The decisions you've made and bonds you've nurtured across the season will determine which characters now trust Javi to safeguard all they hold dear as the crisis pushes every relationship past its breaking point…"

Javier is taking point in the chapter this time around, but, yes, Clementine is still heavily involved, and chances are she'll be fighting for survival alongside the rest of the group.

From the Gallows will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, mobile devices and PC, and will run $4.99, or free if you previously picked up the Season Pass for particular formats.

Telltale hasn't commented on the future of the series once A New Frontier wraps up shop, but, considering how highly popular it is with Walking Dead fans (and those that can't get enough of the company's episodic content with games like Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy), we're sure to see the adventures continue. The real question, though, is who's going to be surviving long enough to stick around for the fourth season. It looks like we'll find out in just a matter of days.

If you haven't caught up on the series yet, you've still got time, as the first four episodes tell quite a story leading up to From the Gallows. This is one particular episodic arc you definitely don't want to miss.
