Each of Samsung Galaxy’s six team members selected one champion to receive the Worlds skin following their win against SKT in 2017 with popular champions like Xayah, Rakan, and Jarvan IV selected as the recipients of the skins. First reported by Inven Global, Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin who currently plays for KSV eSports and previously helped take Samsung Galaxy to its championship victory as a top laner announced the following list of streams recently on his personal stream:

  • CuVee (Top): Gnar
  • Haru (Jungle): Ezreal
  • Ambition (Jungle): Jarvan IV
  • Crown (Mid): Taliyah
  • Ruler (ADC): Xayah
  • CoreJJ (Support): Rakan

Inven Global also reported that the list of champion skins was confirmed by Riot Games, so these champions will most definitely be the ones receiving the newest Worlds skins. Each member of the team still plays together under the new KSV eSports name that was created when the organization bought the Samsung Galaxy team, and Riot Games also confirmed that each member of the team had been in Riot’s offices to record the signature recall animations for each champion skin. The players also get to voice their input for other animations and unique aspects of the skins as well.

These champions being picked marks the second time that both Jarvan IV and Ezreal will receive Worlds skins for their performance on the big stage. Jarvan IV has a Fnatic skin that was released for the first season of competitions while Ezreal’s TPA skin came the year after for season two.

As for the rest of the champions, some of the picks were previewed back in 2017 when it was thought that the players had already picked some of their skins. Each of the champions were played quite a bit by the players during and leading up to Worlds, Xayah and Rakan being two champions in particular that’ll net their first Worlds skin quite soon after being released.

The skins will take some time to make and release, but look for more updates on them as well as first looks as Riot Games continues to work on the Samsung Galaxy skins.
