Acclaimed Marvel Game Free for Millions in Deal That Expires in 24 Hours

An acclaimed Marvel video game is currently free for millions around the globe, but not for much longer. Over the past decade, Marvel has started to gain a major foothold in the gaming space. Titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel Rivals, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, and even Marvel Snap have all come about and have been a hit with players. Now, one Marvel title that didn’t blow up in the way that it was supposed to is free, giving many a chance to see if it might be for them.

The game in question that is currently free is that of Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Released in 2022 and developed by Firaxis Games, this strategy tactics title was quite well-reviewed and currently sits at an 83/100 aggregate score on Metacritic. Despite this positivity, Midnight Suns didn’t sell very well and ended up underperforming for publisher 2K Games. If you’re one of many who didn’t get around to playing it, a copy for PC is now being handed out for nothing on Prime Gaming.

Because this deal is available through Prime Gaming, it necessitates the need for an active Amazon Prime membership. This means that Marvel’s Midnight Suns isn’t wholly “free” as Prime requires a monthly subscription. Still, given that tens of millions of people around the world are already subbed to Prime, there’s a good chance that you might be able to take advantage of this offer without having to drop a dime.

The larger caveat here, though, is that Midnight Suns won’t be free for much longer on Prime Gaming. Originally added to the service back in July, Midnight Suns is set to finally exit the platform tomorrow on Monday, October 6th.
