Origins already received one update that was shipped during the game’s release, a day-one patch that resolved several balance and stability issues as well as tweaks for the photo mode. Beyond that, those planning on buying an Xbox One X can expect Origins to look even better with console-exclusive enhancements, and additional HDR support will be available for all supported platforms.
But beyond that Xbox One X patch, another god-hunting feature will also be enabled that everyone will be able to take part in.
Trials of the Gods
If you think that you’ve got what it takes to hunt down an Egyptian god, you’ll have the chance to do so when the Trials of the Gods feature begins on Nov. 7.
The first god that players can challenge will be Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Dead. Anubis is one powerful enemy that’s been teased before the release of Origins, and the iconic character from Egyptian mythology looks as though he’ll prove to be a difficult challenge.
For those that do manage to take him down, you’ll be rewarded adequately. The post from Ubisoft said that legendary loot will be awarded to those who are victorious, and more details on the epic fight are said to be coming soon.
New Cosmetic Options
Four new packs will be available for purchase in Origins’ in-game store throughout November as well with items that can either be acquired through the purchase or through purchasing the Heka Chests with in-game money from the Nomad Bazaar.
The four packs are found below with their release dates, the first two including four new weapons and a mount with the last two coming with gear, a mount, and a new outfit:
- Nightmare Pack โ Nov. 14
- First Civilization Pack โ Nov. 28
- Roman Centurion Pack โ Nov 7
- Horus Pack โ Nov 21
The Roman Centurion and the Horus packs are both included within the season pass, so if you already purchased that, you’re good to go on those options. The Nightmare pack with its awesome mount can be seen above, the rest of the outfits can be seen here.
