It's been quite the busy week for new trailers for Call of Duty: WWII. We've gotten the new campaign trailer that showcases just what kind of fight we're in for; we've seen a quartet of trailers that highlight the members of your squad; and we've also gotten a close look at which Allies will be working with your team.

But for today's trailer debut, Activision decided to take a different approach, instead introducing a new documentary called Brotherhood of Heroes, which you can watch above.

The point of the documentary is for Sledgehammer Games, WWII's developer, to pay homage to the men and women who answered history's call through a gripping Campaing Mode that aims to redefine World War II for a new generation of gamers, according to the press release.

The documentary is a short one, as it only runs about a little over seven minutes. But it has a stellar amount of information that talks about World War II, and how the world is "scarred" by it. "It's up to a new generation to understand that memory, to understand the experience of fighting the war and surviving the war," one of the subjects noted.

The game is being noted as a very "personal" game, according to Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey. Along with him, several team members from the team are included, talking about how much they needed to understand in order to make the game's Campaign Mode the most accurate yet for a World War II shooter – and that's a lot to live up to, considering what previous Call of Duty games have given us early on in the franchise history.

Sledgehammer actually had to visit the locations in order to get an idea of what the battles were like in person, adding further to the authenticity of the game when it came to themes and understanding how things went. Normandy played a huge part in location scouting, as the team paid very close attention to its legendary battle.

It's a great documentary, and well worth your time.

Call of Duty: WWII will release on November 3rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
