Already available for Dead by Daylight players on the PC version, the Halloween contend will soon be releasin Aug. 25 as confirmed by the game’s creators again in their recent developers’ stream. The DLC will give players a new Killer, a new Survivor, and a map called The Haddonfield that’s based on the famous Halloween horror franchise.

If you’re looking for Michael Myers himself in the game, you’ll have to look out for his lesser-known name, Shape. The name given to the Killer in the game is a reference to how the famous stalker’s name appeared in the credits of the movie in an attempt to dehumanize him and make him that much more threatening, a cause that’s helped even further by Myers’ powerful in-game abilities perks.

In his matches against four Survivors attempting to repair generators and escape their trial, Myers specialty is honing in on a player and hunting them down. He gets quicker and stronger the longer he keeps prey locked in his gaze, but the heartbeat aura that alerts players of his presences gets much larger as well. All of Myers’ special perks deal with choosing one player to obsess over as well, so playing as the Killer can sometimes lead to a playstyle relying heavily on tunneling.

Laurie Strode, inversely, excels at being the last woman standing, her perks allowing her to break free from a Killer’s grasp and perform better around the Killer. While teamwork is vital in Dead by Daylight, Strode is still plenty strong on her own since she grows stronger with fewer teammates when used with the right perks.

As far as Xbox One is concerned, there’s not yet a confirmed release date for the Halloween DLC. The game’s devs confirmed that they’re still in the certification process for the content, so no release dates can be provided yet.

The Halloween DLC for PlayStation 4 users doesn’t have a price listed right now, but the content is $6.99 for the PC version on Steam, so players can likely expect a similar price when it releases on Aug. 25.
