Destiny 2: Iron Banner Awarding 300 Power Level Engrams Today

Today is the day to cash in all of your Iron Banner tokens in Destiny 2, because today, Lord Saladin is going to give you the high power level gear you’ve been waiting for. Just like the other award-vending NPCs, the engrams you get from Lord Saladin for turning in tokens will roll at a specific power level. These power levels have been fluctuating from day to day, but today, the engram rewards are set to a 300 power level, so now is the time to cash in all of those tokens you’ve been saving!

We assume , since the weekly resets typically take place on Tuesdays, that this will last throughout the entire day. If you’re reading this at work and freaking out, don’t worry: You’ll be able to turn in your tokens as soon as you get home and hope for some great gear. If you’ve been turning in all of your tokens as you earn them, we’re very sorry about your luck. This time it paid to be patient!

Keep in mind that you have to have a base power level of at least 300 before you’re eligible for these drops. All of the Iron Banner rewards are legendary weapons, and will drop at your current power level. Exotic engrams typically drop above your current power level, but you won’t find any of those from Saladin.

What Gear Should You be Looking Out For?

If you have tokens left over and ready to cash in, there are definitely a few Iron Banner rewards that players have come to recognize as better than the rest. The general consensus is that most of the Iron Banner weapon rewards are just okay, with the exception of “The Time-Worn Spire.”

This is a rapid-fire pulse rifle that gets more accurate as damage is dealt. Admittedly, the range on this particular rifle is pretty poor compared to other weapons in its class, but its large magazine size and rapid-fire capability more than makes up for that fact. As long as you can land a few shots right away, and have the kinetic counterbalance mod equipped, The Time-Worn Spire is a force to be reckoned with in The Crucible.
