Fallout: New Vegas is arguably one of the most beloved entries in the franchise, and of course the team behind the hit title are proud of their work as well. Obsidian Games seems to have found their niche within the RPG genre and director Josh Sawyer said that the team "would certainly love" another shot to show the Fallout franchise some more love.

In a recent segment of Expert Mode, Sawyer took a little time to talk about their beloved little piece of the Fallout series. When asked as to whether or not he would be up to the task of returning to post-apocalyptic world, he had this to say:

"I would certainly love to work on a Fallout game again. I know there are tons of people at Obsidian who would love to work on a Fallout game again. If we were given the chance, we would certainly love to."

The desire for them to return the open-world expansiveness known in Fallout is blinding, both Sawyer and fellow developer Eric Fenstermaker have stated that that interest in a new game within this world is the most prevalent request they get from fans.

Fenstermaker has also been known for his work on the Pillars franchise as well as South Park: Stick of Truth. Though it has been awhile since his work on New Vegas, he still stands behind Sawyer and the team of wanting to get back into this particular universe, that a new Fallout would be a "really fun property to work with." As the creative lead and the team build on fan hype concerning the future of the franchise, there was one previous report that was suspiciously missing from the conversation.

Sawyer was dead quiet regarding the previously trademarked filed for Fallout: New Orleans, but it is entirely possible that the festive area known for its fine food and supernatural flare could be adding Pip-Boys and mutated ghouls to their repertoire. No new reports have been released since the trademark was officially filed, but perhaps with the team out in the media circuit once more; this could mean a positive sign of potential announcements to come.

Fallout: New Vegas is currently available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
