One man has become the father of the year after surprising his son in the most adorable way with a Nintendo Switch.
We all remember what it was like craving that one toy, that one doll, that one gadget as a kid. For me, it was Pokémon Blue on the Game Boy. I would flip through a preview of the game in a magazine during class breaks and at home, imagining what it would be like to play. I would close my eyes and pretend I was holding the game in my hands, capturing and battling Pokémon, and going on a grand adventure.
It seems like I have a kindred spirit in this kid, who fashioned a Nintendo Switch out of cardboard. His father ("Mohawk" on Twitter) snapped a few pictures of him playing his makeshift Switch, which even has some gameplay drawn into the screen:

You can see this kid has a vivid imagination, and has built a variety of pretend devices to play with. Here hs is playing with a fancy laptop:

And here we see a prototype for what we assume to be a PlayStation 5:

Like any good father, the man we know as Mohawk was likely inspired by his son's creativity, moved by his contentment to play with pretend devices, and stirred in a deep and nostalgic soul-spot as he remembered what it was like to crave something so badly as a kid. He decided to surprise his son with a real Nintendo Switch, so he snuck the real console into his son's cardboard cutout while he was taking a bath. "I wonder when he'll notice," he said in his tweet.

As you can see, he enjoys it quite a bit:

Just look at that kid. His whole world is about to change. I would die to be a kid again with a Nintendo Switch. This will be the perfect console for him. Look at that Mario figure on his desk; look at the big Minecraft box. These are both things that he's going to enjoy anywhere he wants on his brand new Switch, and his imagination is going to soar.
Good job, dad. You done good.
