Final Fantasy XV version 1.20 is now live and brings with it our favourite boy band as playable characters! Discover a new recipeeeey with Ignis, or take some selfies with Prompto - the trio of Noctis' closest pals are now playable in the popular RPG's Story Mode.

The latest patch notes includes both versions: 1.19 and 1.20, and is relatively small compared to previous updates. Here's the gist of what's different:

Version 1.19

  • Implementation of character swap feature (available in Ascension: Techniques)
  • Conclusion of online support for timed quests
  • Addition of compatibility with "Episode Ignis"
  • Addition of pieces from "Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades" and "Episode Ignis" to music player tracklist
  • Various bug fixes

Version 1.20

  • Various bug fixes

But the Story Mode wasn't the only in-game portion to get a set of tweaks. The game's multiplayer aspect, Comrades, had a few additions itself:

Comrades 1.1.0

  • Additional trading post (behind Iris)
  • Additional weapon (Lucian Saber)
  • Shorter loading times
  • Daily Quests (Online only)
  • Buffs are now timed
  • The Food Buff glitch no longer works. Furthermore, food buffs on characters made with the glitch will eventually expire.

The character swapping in the title's Story Mode is one that many have been looking forward to, at very least just to see how it plays out. With several individual chapter stories released featuring our beloved boys, players that enjoyed the DLC will be pleased to know that these three characters will play exactly the same way that they did in their standalone stories.
