“Greetings, program!” If you’re familiar with the 1982 computer effect-laden adventure Tron, no doubt this classic line means something to you. And the film has held up well over this past 35 years, with little bits and pieces of things adding to the legacy, including a pretty good 2010 movie sequel, as well as a forthcoming ride for an overseas Disney park.

But if you’re looking to celebrate Tron a little more locally, Funko has you covered. The company has announced a special line of Tron-oriented Pop figurines that will be coming later this year. And while there are only two central characters this time around โ and no sign of a light cycle, at least not yet โ there are two different types that fans will most certainly want to collect.

Tron and Sark are the featured characters in the Funko Pop line-up, and there are both glow-in-the-dark and special Chase variant editions of the figure, with a 1-in-6 chance of getting said special variant. As you can see, the colors are pretty awesome, and you can only imagine how much greater the characters will look glowing in the dark. UPDATE: The Tron Pop is available to pre-order here and the Sark Pop is available to pre-order here.
“The ultimate tool can become the ultimate enemy,” the company quoted on its website, leading to its description:
“A computer programmer is transported into a computer mainframe and has to escape!
In order to do so he must interact with various programs.
This is none other than Disney’s classic film Tron.
Disney’s Tron, now has a few characters joining Pop!
This series features Tron โ the self-monitoring security program,
and the evil program Sark! Both Pop!s hold discs from their fierce disc battle!”
Funko has noted that the figures will be available this November, for about the usual price of a Funko figurine. So if you’re a fan, you’ll have ample opportunity to pick up all four, and make them the “End of Line” for your collection. (Unless you have more to collect, of course.)
You can check out all four figurine types in the attached gallery and see what these Tron toys have to offer. Who knows, it just might put you in the mood to watch the movie again!
