League of Legends' Beekeeper Singed skin is a meme come true for those who main the Mad Chemist, but an update on the cosmetic announced that it'll have to stay on the PBE a bit longer for more bugfixes.

The recently revealed Singed skin was expected to hit the Rift on Oct. 5, but Riot Games' I am Carlos posted an update to the PBE discussion boards on Wednesday that confirmed there would be a slight delay in the skin's release. More time is apparently needed to iron out some issues, but the end result should certainly be worth the wait.

"I know you've all been waiting for Beekeeper Singed to be released tomorrow, but we are going to push it back to patch 7.20 to fix some bugs with the skin," Riot I am Carlos said in his League post. "We know this stings, but we want to make sure that when the skin is released, it's in the best shape possible for you. So, please wait a bit longer."

The skin might take a bit longer to be released, but at least Singed mains had a bee-themed pun to hold them over in I am Carlos' response. Patch 7.20 is scheduled to be released next week on Oct. 11, so while Beekeeper Singed might not be released on that day exactly, there won't be too long of a wait before everyone has access to the sweet-and-sticky skin.

For those who missed the initial announcement for Beekeeper Singed, the skin has been a long time coming from Riot after Singed players and the community felt it'd be a perfect fit for the champion. Replacing his poison flask with a beehive and arming him with a honeycomb shield, Beekeeper Singed is a result similar to Baker Pantheon but will likely see much more play.

The skin for Singed was announced at the same time as Arclight Yorick, a skin that was released recently for the split-pushing top laner. The golden cosmetic was Yorick's first skin since his release, a 1350 RP skin that broke a 6-year draught.

Beekeeper Singed is priced at 1350 RP and will be released during the upcoming patch.
