Competitive League of Legends players have to have a pretty decent pool of champions to pick from so that teams can adapt to multiple strategies, now more than ever thanks to the 10-ban system that’s responsible for even more options being removed. Even with those champion pools varying depending on the role, player, and even the region, there’s still a couple of champs that show up most often in the NA LCS.

Up through week 4 in the NA LCS games, a user on Reddit who goes by the name Nameless824 crunched the numbers to find out exactly how frequently certain champs were getting picked by teams within the NA LCS. Nameless824 didn’t stop there though as the next step in compiling the data was to see which champions had the highest win percentages as well as which ones never got the chance to win because they were getting banned the most.
“These 38 champions have each been played at least 10 times in the NA LCS Summer 2017 through week 4,” Nameless824 began in the post on Reddit. “They are sorted by win rate. Together they account for over 90% of all champion picks across 100 games. I compiled this data myself so I can’t swear that it’s error-free.”
We’ll take the user’s word that the data is pretty representative of what’s being seen in the NA competitive play, especially since a lot of the champions that are listed below in the data look pretty familiar. That’s not a bad thing, though, as some of them are fun to watch, and others are a refreshing change of pace to be seen again in competitive play.

Gragas seems to be the champ that’s been played most often in the games followed closely by junglers Elise and Lee Sin, two staple picks that should be no surprise here. Leblanc has only been played in 10 games so far, but that’s probably because she can’t get through the ban phase with a 92 percent pick/ban rate.
Bard holds the title right now as the champ that’s been a part of the most victories at a whopping 84.62 percent win rate followed by another support, Blitzcrank, who has a solid 80 percent win rate.
We’ve got a couple more weeks left in the NA LCS schedule, so it’ll be interesting to see if the current statistics hold up for future games as well.
